AVELOX I.V. contains approximately 34.2 mEq (787 mg) of sodium in 250 mL. Indications Avelox is indicated in the treatment of adults with acute bacterial sinusitis, skin structure infections such as Staphylococcus aureus or Streptococcus pyogenes, several strains of pneumonia, chronic bronchitis, bacterial sinusitis, and to combat several abdominal infections. How It Works Avelox is categorized as a broad-spectrum antibiotic, which means that it combats against a diverse range of bacteria that cause disease. Dosage Tabs (EU 400mg, 400mg) The initial dosage of Avelox is 400mg once daily. Depending upon the condition being treated, the length of therapy will differ. Acute Bacterial Sinusitis Treatment should last 10 days. Chronic Bronchitis Treatment should last five days. Community Acquired Pneumonia Treatment should last 7-14 days. Abdominal Infections Treatment should last 5-14 days.
