Indications NegGram is used to treat bacterial urinary tract infections. How It Works Negram is a synthetic quinolone antibiotic. It works by being metabolized in the liver, which then releases unchanged Nalidixic acid into the urine where it has a bactericidal effect. Dosage Tablets (500 mg) The recommended initial dose of NegGram is 1g taken 4 times per day, making a daily total of 4 grams. In cases where the treatment needs to be prolonged, the dosage can be reduced to 2g per day. Precautions NegGram is contraindicated in people who have hypersensitivity to ingredients in NegGram. Speak to a doctor if you have the following conditions: porphyria, convulsive disorder, or are undergoing chemotherapy. This medicine may cause harm to an unborn baby.
