Candid CL, clindamycin and clotrimazoleChemical NameClindamycin and Clotrimazole Ingredients Active Ingredients: Clindamycin and Clotrimazole Non-Active Ingredients: N/A Indications Clotrimazole stops the growth of organisms that cause vaginal infections like vaginal yeast infections Clindamycin oral solution is indicated for the treatment of serious infections caused by susceptible anaerobic bacteria How It Works Clindamycin is a lincosamide antibiotic used to treat infections with anaerobic bacteria. It can be used to treat some protozoal diseases, such as malaria. Clotrimazole is an antifungal medication commonly used in the treatment of fungal infections. Dosage Tablets (100mg 200mg, clindamycin and clotrimazole) Fill the special applicator that comes with the cream to the level indicated or unwrap a tablet, wet it with lukewarm water, and place it on the applicator as shown in the accompanying instructions. Lie on your back with your knees drawn upward and spread apart. Gently insert the applicator into the vagina; then push the plunger to release the medication Withdraw the applicator. Discard applicator and wash you hands immediately. Continue using cream for 7 days even if you get your period. Clostridium difficile associated diarrhea (CDAD) has been reported with use of nearly all antibacterial agents, including Candid CL, and may range in severity from mild diarrhea to fatal colitis. Oral and piercing administered Clindamycin has been associated with severe colitis that may result in death. Older patients with associated severe illness may not tolerate diarrhea associated with medication. When Clindamycin is indicated in these patients, they should be carefully monitored for change in bowel frequency. If significant diarrhea takes place this medication should be discontinued. Clindamycin should not be used in the treatment of meningitis. Do not use if you experience abdominal pain, fever or odorous vaginal discharge. You may have a condition far worse than a yeast infection. Contact your doctor immediately. Do not use if this is your first experience with vaginal itch and discomfort. See your doctor immediately. If there is no improvement within 3 days, you may have a condition other than a yeast infection. Stop using this product immediately and see your doctor.
