Indications Serevent is used to treat asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. How It Works This medicine is a bronchodilator. It’s mechanism of action is to relax muscles in the lungs and airways, thereby increasing airflow and preventing the constriction that causes asthma attacks. Dosage Inhalers/rotacaps (25 mcg, 50 mcg) The recommended initial dose of Serevent is typically two inhalations a day, one in the evening and one in the evening. This medication can increase risks of asthma-related deaths if not adjusted correctly by a doctor and take as part of a complete treatment program. Precautions Serevent is contraindicated in people who have hypersensitivity to ingredients in Serevent. Speak to a doctor if you have the following conditions: thyroid disorder, diabetes, liver disease, epilepsy, heart disease, high blood pressure, food or drug allergies or a history of seizures.
