Indications Bystolic is used to treat hypertension. How It Works Bystolic is a beta blocker that works by reducing the effects of specific hormones in the body. Dosage Tablets (EU 2.5 mg, 2.5 mg, EU 5 mg, 5 mg) The recommended initial dose of Bystolic is 5 mg, to be taken orally one time per day. Some patients may receive larger dosages for certain accelerated conditions, under the advisement of a physician. Precautions Bystolic is contraindicated in people who have hypersensitivity to ingredients in Bystolic, and suffer from heart block greater than first degree, cardiac failure, sinus syndrome, hepatic impairment, and severe bradycardia.
