How It Works Diovan affects a complex network of chemical reactions that precipitates its self in the form of hypertension or other diseases. Its main function is to prevent the transformation of angiotensin II from angiotensin. This helps the body to better control renin secretion and heart function. Dosage Tablets (40 mg, 80 mg, 160 mg, 320 mg) Dosage for Diovan is complex as it is related to many different symptoms and diseases. Consult your physician. Adult hypertension: Suggested dose is somewhere between 80 mg and 320 mg depending on the patient. Heart Failure: Recommended dose is 80 mg twice daily, though that may be uprated by your physician.
