Indications Actoplus Met is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus. How It Works Actoplus Met is the comination of two antihyperglycemic agensts. Metformin hydrochloride works to improve a patients tolerance for glucose by lowering production and decreasing the rate at which glucose is absorbed in the digestive system. Pioglitazone increases the rate at which glucose is disposed of in the blood and the rate of hepatic glucose out put. Dosage Tablets (15 mg, 30 mg) Typically, 15 to 30 mg are prescribed daily as a starting dose, but it is extremely important that this be set and adjusted by a doctor who is monitoring your situation. Precautions Actoplus Met is contraindicated in people who have hypersensitivity to ingredients in Actoplus Met.
