Indications Avandaryl is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus. How It Works The drug is the combination of two medications that help control sugar levels in the blood. They work by reducing insulin resistance and stimulating insulin release. Together they help improve glycemic control. Dosage Tablets (2 mg rosiglitazone maleate /1 mg glimepiride) The recommended initial dose of Avandaryl is most often 4 mg/2 mg to be taken in one daily dose. Drugs that raise blood sugar levels such as diet pills, asthma medicine, birth control pills, diuretics, steroids, thyroid medicine and isoniazid; these drugs may also cause conflicts.
