Prandin, repaglinideChemical NameRepaglinide Ingredients Active Ingredients: repaglinide Non-Active Ingredients: Indications Prandin is used to treat type 2 diabetes. How It Works The type of drug lowers blood gucose, (or suguar) levels in the blood. It achieves this by stimulating the pancreas to release insulin into the blood. Dosage Tablets (0.5 mg, 1 mg, 2 mg) The recommended initial dose of Prandin is 0.5 mg, to be taken with every meal. In some cases the dosage may be set at 1 to 2 mg with every meal, but in all cases the dosage should be adjusted by a doctor Precautions Prandin is contraindicated in people who have hypersensitivity to ingredients in Prandin, or have type 1 diabetes of are in a state of ketoacidosis caused by diabetes.
