Ingredients
Active Ingredients: Moxifloxacin
Non-Active Ingredients: Boric acid, sodium chloride, and purified water. May also contain hydrochloric acid/sodium hydroxide to adjust pH to approximately 6.8.
Indications
Vigamox is used to treat bacterial conjunctivitis that has been caused by one of several strains of organisms, including Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Staphylococcus haemolyticus, Staphylococcus hominis, Staphylococcus warneri, Streptococcus pneumonia, and Streptococcus viridans group.

Vigamox is categorized as a broad spectrum antibiotic, which can be used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections.
Dosage
Opthalmic Solution (0.5% 5ml)
Patients should administer one drop three times daily for a period of seven days to the affected eye.
Precautions
Vigamox is contraindicated in people who have hypersensitivity to ingredients in Vigamox.
Do not wear contact lenses while receiving Vigamox treatment.
This medicine may cause harm to an unborn baby. Before taking Vigamox, tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant during treatment. Vigamox may pass into breast milk and may cause harm to a nursing baby. Consult your doctor before using this medication if you are pregnant or are breast-feeding a baby.

Infrequent side effects may include an increase in the frequency of coughing, coughing spells, fever, infection, rhinitis, and skin rash.
If any of these side effects become bothersome seek medical attention immediately.
A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare. Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, or trouble breathing.
