Indications Lopressor is indicated in the treatment of hypertension, and in long-term angina pectoris therapy. In some cases, Lopressor is used to treat acute myocardial infarction. Patients receiving treatment with Lopressor should remain under strict supervision from a physician. How It Works Lopressor is categorized as a selective receptor blocker. It is generally used in the treatment of hypertension, and is also used to treat a number of other cardiovascular diseases. Dosage Tablets (12.5 mg, 23.5 mg, 25 mg, 47.5 mg, 50 mg, 95 mg, 100 mg, ) The recommended initial dose of Lopressor is 100mg on a daily basis, taken in two divided doses.
