The capsule shell consists of gelatin, sodium lauryl sulfate, silicon dioxide, and titanium dioxide. Indications Rebetol is used to treat chronic cases of hepatitis C and can be used to treat hepatitis C in patients that also have HIV. How It Works Ribavirin is an antiviral drug. It works by interfering with the DNA and RNA that allow viruses to spread, reproduce and survive. Dosage Tablets (200 mg) Capsules (200 mg) The recommended initial dose of Rebetol varies greatly depending on bodyweight, but dosage is most typically in the 800 to 1400 mg/day range.
