Ingredients
Active Ingredients: Lamivudine + Stavudine
Non-Active Ingredients:
Lamivudine: black iron oxide, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, polysorbate 80, sodium starch glycolate, and titanium dioxide.
Stavudine: microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, lactose, and magnesium stearate. The hard gelatin shell consists of gelatin, titanium dioxide, and iron oxides.

Lamivir S is used to treat HIV.
How It Works
Lamivir S is a combination HIV therapy that combines the drugs Lamivudine and Stavudine. Each medication has properties that help to control the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
Dosage
Tablets (150 mg + 30 mg, 150 mg + 40 mg)
Lamivir-S 30
Patients weighing less than 60 kg should take one tablet twice a day. The tablets contain 150 mg Lamivudine and 30 mg Stavudine.
Lamivir-S 40
Patients weighing more than 60 kg should take one tablet twice a day. The tablets contain 150 mg Lamivudine and 40 mg Stavudine.
Precautions
Lamivir S is contraindicated in people who have hypersensitivity to ingredients in Lamivir S, lamivudine and stavudine.
You should not take Lamivir if you are already taking lamivudine and/or stavudine.
This medicine may cause harm to an unborn baby. Before taking Lamivir S, tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant during treatment. Lamivir S may pass into breast milk and may cause harm to a nursing baby. Consult your doctor before using this medication if you are pregnant or are breast-feeding a baby.
You should consult a doctor before using this medication if you are allergic to lamivudine + stavudine or similar medicines, or any of the other ingredients of Lamivir S.
Drug Interactions
Consult a doctor before taking Lamivir S if you are taking lamivudine or stavudine.
Before using this Lamivir S, tell your doctor or pharmacist about all prescription and non-prescription medications, including herbal products, minerals and vitamins you may be taking. Other medications may affect how Lamivir S works or may cause other unforeseen complications.
Adverse/Side Effects
It is not uncommon for Lamivir S to cause the following minor side effects: Lactic acidosis and severe hepatomegaly with steatosis. If these side effects persist or become overly bothersome, contact your doctor or health-care professional.
Infrequent side effects may include hepatitis and liver failure.
Rare side effects may also include diarrhea, loss of energy, general malaise, headaches, nausea, abdominal pain, skin rash, pruritis, pancreatitis, and athralgias.
If any of these side effects become bothersome seek medical attention immediately.
A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare. Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, or trouble breathing. This may not be a complete list of side effects and may be subject to change, consult with your doctor or pharmacist if you are experiencing any worrisome side effects.
Overdose
If you suspect overdose, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
