Myfortic, mycophenolateChemical NameMycophenolate Ingredients Active Ingredients: mycophenolate Non-Active Ingredients: Colloidal silicon dioxide, crospovidone, lactose anhydrous, magnesium stearate, povidone (K-30)), as well as starch. Indications Myfortic is used to prevent organ rejection after transplant surgery. It is usually administered in conjunction with cyclosporine and corticosteroids, but this combination should be confirmed by a doctor. How It Works This drug this is an immunosuppressant. It works by inhabiting inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase in the body, which in turn inhibits the production of guanosine nucleotides and ultimately limits that proliferation of T- and B-lymphocytes. Precautions Myfortic is contraindicated in people who have hypersensitivity to ingredients in Myfortic.
