How It Works
Selegiline is a drug that is designed to reduce the effect of Parkinson’s disease by managing one of the root causative symptoms: lowered levels of dopamine in the brain. This drug inhibits the enzymes that breakdown dopamine, a chemical critical for normal brain function.

Dosage
Tablets (5 mg)
The dosage of this drug is dependent on an individual needs and the drug is designed to be taken in conjunction with other drugs such as levodopa/carbidopa. In most cases, however, the initial dosage of this drug is 10 mg a day, to be taken divided into two doses of the drug, each 5 mg, and ideally taken with breakfast and then lunch.

Precautions

Adverse/Side Effects
