One of the root symptoms of Parkinson’s disease is a low dopamine level in the brain. This drug mimics the effects of dopamine and thus alleviates symptoms Parkinson’s. Dosage Tablets (0.25 mg, 0.5 mg, 1 mg, 2 mg) In the case of Parkinson’s disease the recommended initial dose of Requip is typically 0.25 mg to be taken 3 times per day. After the 4th week, the dosage can then be raised every week by 1.5 mg per day to 3 mg per day until the dosage reaches 9 mg per day.
